I am Shayne Fox, a Toronto-based three time Emmy nominated Production Designer, Set Decorator and hardware designer.
Over the past three plus decades, I have created sets for children’s programming, reality TV, comedies, feature films, and television series for A24, Amazon, FX Network, NBC, Netflix, Warner Brothers, SONY, MGM, CBC, CTV, Hallmark, and TLC. I In addition to my six seasons on “What we do in the Shadows”, professional highlights include creating sets for “Self Made: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker” (Netflix/Warner Bros), “The Bold Type” (NBC/Freeform), and the 2020 Cara Delevingne feature, “Life in a Year” (Sony).
Since 2021 I have received three prime time Emmy nominations, four Art Directors Guild nominations (with two wins), and most recently myself and the team picked up a DGC award for best production design.
I am a voting member of the Television Academy, a member of the Female Design Council, The Directors Guild of Canada, and IATSE Local 873.
I am also the founder and designer of Shayne Fox Hardware, a decorative hardware company (with a focus on manufacturing cast bronze handles and knobs), that has been featured in Architectural Digest, Wallpaper, Elle Canada, Vogue Living, Dwell, House and Home magazine as well as HGTV.
